The Most Serious Dilemma

I feel that to avoid showing offending and distasteful content is the most important, because just about anyone may read any article that you publish, and what you may publish can offend them if you do not practice discretion about what is published in the article. Gore and swear words should definitely be censored, in my opinion, as these may affect young or sensitive readers.
