Individual Reflection

Do you ever find yourself speaking up too soon?
If so, how can you clear your mind to fully listen?
do you ever find yourself wanting to jump in because you are eager to share?
How can you channel your excitement into listening and wait for the proper opportunity to share?
What else can you do to prepare for conversations with others?
can we ask them up front what they are looking for? (advice, a sounding board, solutions)
How does it make you feel to be cut off in the middle of your thought?

  1. 1. I could like tell myself, not aloud to listen to what the person wanted to say.
    2. Secondly, I could prepare for conversations by first listening to what they say, before conversing with them.
    3. I could also ask them about the topic that they would be talking about.
    4. It feels quite irritating at times, and I would forget what I previously thought.

  2. 1. Yes. I would concentrate on the speaker while trying to catch my thoughts.
    2. Yes. I can smile and show my interest to the speaker. That would signal to him/her that I have to something worth to share.
    3. I can present myself neat and tidy and have proper body language such as not slouching. Yes we can, as that allows us to talk about the same topic.
    4. I would feel annoyed as each of us have our times to air our thoughts.
